Participation of the Court of Accounts in the works of the 24th International Congress of Supreme Audit Institutions (INCOSAI)
The Court of Accounts participates, with a high level delegation led by the First President Zineb El ADAOUI, in the works of the 24th edition of the International Congress of Supreme Audit Institutions (INCOSAI), held in Rio de Janeiro, from 7 to 11 November 2022. The congress was attended by the Moroccan ambassador to Brazil, Mr. Nabil Adghoghi, and more than 800 delegates representing 120 Supreme Audit Institutions around the world
The activities of this congress included a discussion on the INTOSAI strategic plan for the period 2023-2028, and on a several reports, the most important of which are the Secretary General report on the Organization, the report of the Oversight Committee on Emerging Issues and the report of the INTOSAI regional organizations, in addition to the report of the INTOSAI Development Initiative. The delegation also participated in a number of meetings of the main committees, including the Capacity Building Committee, the Knowledge Sharing Committee and the International Standards Committee.
The work of this congress was characterized by important interventions of the delegation of the Court of Accounts, through which it reviewed the Moroccan experience as a supreme audit institution that combines jurisdictional and non-jurisdictional attributions in order to improve the performance of the public administration and to fight, in parallel, against financial crimes
On the same occasion, the First President held interviews with the Presidents of counterpart institutions such as Russia, Portugal, Israel and the United States, which focused on aspects of cooperation and capacity building. On the sidelines of this congress, two memorandums of understanding were signed with the Federal Court of Accounts of Brazil and its Russian counterpart
