Participation of the Court of Acounts at the meeting of Supreme Audit Institutions with jurisdictional competence in Bangkok
The Court of Accounts took part, with a delegation headed by its First President Mrs. Zineb El Adaoui, in the meeting of Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) with jurisdictional competence held in Bangkok, Thailand, on October 16 and 17, 2023, the main theme of which was “the contribution of SAIs in the fight against fraud and corruption”.
The meeting was also devoted to the presentation by Minister Bruno Dantas, President of the Federal Court of Audit of Brazil and President of INTOSAI, and the First President of a joint initiative to enhance the institutional framework for cooperation between jurisdictional SAIs. On this occasion, the First President underlined the need for these SAIs to conduct in-depth collective reflections on the future of the jurisdictional model of public auditing and its impact. She also reiterated the need to provide these SAIs with a prestigious, permanent and inclusive framework, equipped with the means and capacities required to implement cooperation projects in the fields of standardization, knowledge and best practice sharing, and capacity building.
On the sidelines of this meeting, the First President held a working meeting with her counterpart General Chanathap Indamra, Chairman of the State Audit Commission of the Kingdom of Thailand and President of the Asian Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ASOSAI). The meeting was devoted to examining ways of strengthening bilateral cooperation relations between the Court of Accounts of the Kingdom of Morocco and its counterpart in the Kingdom of Thailand in areas of common interest, notably in terms of reinforcing institutional and professional frameworks for the exercise of jurisdictional compentencies.
